Kindergarten Physical Education

Primary Sports:

This class is for Kindergarten only, the goal of the class is to meet the physical activity needs of all students building basic movement skills.

Did You Know?

Much of learning that occurs in early childhood is thought movement experiences involving the use of sensory systems.

One of the benefits of physical education is helping in the development of all sensory skills. It's recommended that students have daily physical education in elementary schools.

It takes a S.M.A.R.T lesson plan and games to get the job done.

Early experiences in music and movement help form the brain's circuits for future development of math and language skills.

Class structure:

Warm-up/ Stretch and conditioning, balance and strength.

This quarter instructional unit will focus on:

Perceptual Power, Great Games, Beanbag Exploration- bean bag boogie, Moves and groove with a parachute parade, Hawaiian Hula-Hoop Challenges, Jump rope- single bounce forward jumping for joy, Bouncing ball challenges, walk/ jog dribble, Bunny hop dance, and single knee balance super-kid stunts among other games.
